The uncovered full arm harness is a 4-piece articulated arm harness with a formed vambrace, lamme, cop, and curved rerbrace. The vambrace, lammes, and rerbrace are made from 1/8" HDPE plastic. The elbow cop is made from 1/4" HDPE plastic. The lamme and rerbrace are rivet-articulated to the cop and the vambrace is articulated by one strap to the lamme. This allows for greater mobility of the forearm without scarificing protection.

The covered full arm harness is a 3-piece strap-articulated arm harness with a formed vambrace and rerbrace. It comes covered and edged with suede, which can be dyed to a variety of colours. The edging suede is glued to the outside suede, then stitched through the plastic for added stability.

Recommendations for padding

For padding, I recommend wearing a neoprene compression sleeve on your arm, and a little closed-cell foam in the vambrace. Compression sleeves are available in many sporting goods stores, and usually run around $20.

Using an neoprene sleeve has many benefits:
  • takes much of the sting out of arm shots
  • helps to support your elbow
  • prevents pinching
  • depending on the style, may have extra elbow padding
